Despite a 20% hearing loss from too much disco music in the 70’s & 80’s, yes, “Def” is spelled correctly...referring to the dictionary meaning as slang for “first rate;” a positive adjective used as a superlative. 


 And “Nana,” is an endearing term for “Grandmother”  that I prefer to use because there’s nothing “GRAND” (august, majestic, pretentious or grandiose) about me.


Instead, I am relaxed, casual, informal and (as you can see by my stand-up comedy and "MOIST!" -- the show I co-wrote & co-star in with Iona Morris) sometimes even a little down ‘n dirty.  ("And when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was BAD, she was better!" )

 

As an actress & comic, my aim is to STAND UP for all the SUPERLATIVE WOMEN in their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and on into their triple-digits who are setting new standards for aging with class, sass, confidence and sex-appeal.  The words of Helen Reddy's anthem of the 70's still ring as true, today...maybe even more so...
